Atlantic City's Latest Challenge : Delaware
Not to be outdone by nearly every other Governor in the U.S., Delaware's Gov. Jack Markell has floated his own entrant into the 'expansion of gambling trial balloon race.'
Gov. Markell is eyeballing boatsinos, sports betting, and the addition of table games to the assortment of Delaware racinos.
The big loser? Atlantic City, currently under pressure from Pennsylvania slot parlors. The issue here isn't further encroachment of slot machines into the circumference of A.C. day trippers, but the proposed legalization of sports betting - a form of gambling outlawed in New Jersey.
The song - a crackly vinyl refrain of visionless leadership, skipping infinitely - remains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same, ains the same...
