The Return of the Son of The Golden Nugget Atlantic City
With Colony Capital swimming - make that drowning - in debt and unable to keep their AC operations afloat, the company's properties are being picked off from lien holders by whomever wants them.
Just three weeks ago, AC casino veteran Dennis Gomes bought Resorts International with the promise "we are going to bring it back to life."
Now, in a perfectly fitting move, Landry's Restaurants, owners of the Golden Nugget Las Vegas and Laughlin have expressed interest in purchasing the AC Hilton - which Steve Wynn originally opened as the Golden Nugget Atlantic City.
This undoubtedly will be a barn burner of an acquisition by Landry's - re-uniting the Golden Nugget trifecta and escorting them all into the future. File this under awesome.

Nice!!! Maybe I can use my 20 year old Golden Nugget Chip I found in the basement!!
Rumor has it there is a buyer for Hilton, and not anyone mentioned in print so far. Word is it's an over seas group which is working out a deal with the bank and N. Ribis.
