The New Rooms at The Golden Nugget
The Golden Nugget is scheduled to have their entire hotel room collection completely renovated this month. Judging by the photo gallery on their website... these rooms are quite the catch.
Smart, hip, clean, sharp... you can barely see the remnants of Donald Trump's horrible taste!
These rooms are priced to move if you are heading to the shore mid-week ($65/nt) and priced to cause sticker shock ($139-529) on weekends. With Revel already softly open and great stuff happening at the Golden Nugget this might be a great summer to plan that long delayed trip to Atlantic City.

Comments & Discussion:
Friend of mine stayed at the Nugget a few months ago in one of the new rooms and while he said the decor of the room was nice, that the walls were paper thin, which was the complaint my wife had when we stayed at the same building (then known as Trump Marina) 10 years ago. Can give the rooms a makeover but can't do anything about the bones of the place....too bad.Still, they've done a nice job with the redecor of the casino, and am looking forward to see how the pool area looks when it reopens. I played $5 blackjack at the Nugget until 1 am on a Tuesday night last week until they raised it to $10.Revel is also an interesting property, and it was great to be have $5 tables dominating the floor last Wednesday, including a table where you could look at a window and see the ocean and had good rules (6 deck, dealer stands on all 17s). Don't know if this will last once they're out of the promo period by Memorial Day. Also has a nice high-limit area with a separate bar and floor-to-ceiling windows.
