Seriously? Tropicana AC Dealers Authorize Strike

Straight from the 'you gotta be kidding' file comes this little nugget : dealers at the Tropicana Atlantic City have voted to authorize a strike against the court stewarded joint should contract negotiations fizzle.

One would think that the union bosses would have the brains to look at the bigger picture - flailing economy, rising unemployment, Tropicana's ownership situation a complete mess - and delay the vote until it was really needed.

Some economists are projecting that we're going to hit 10% unemployment by the time this mess reaches its real fruition. Employers are freezing wages, trimming benefits and passing on increased health care costs to employees in the hopes of keeping their business afloat in all sectors of the economy.

Penny fools.
