Icahn Almost Haz Tropicana

The P of AC is reporting that New Jersey Casino Control Commission is finalizing the paperwork that would sell the TropAC to former Sands AC owner Carl Icahn for a measly $200 million bucks.

The NJCCC will vote on the sale on Wednesday.

$200 Million Bucks.

That sure is a far cry from the $1B they originally offered it up at. At these firesale prices, I'm shocked that none of the previous suitors - AC Gateway LLC, Colony Capital, Cordish or the Mystery Company - can shake enough change out of their couches to snatch the Trop AC from Icahn.

Would it be too bold of me to predict a future headline for this blog to be posted in, say... 2014?

Icahn Sells Tropicana AC For $1.3B.
